       I. FACTITIOUS DISORDER (Munchausen Syndrome)

              SYMPTOMS

              (1)Voluntary amplification or production of physical or  psychological symptoms because of a psychological need to assume role of sick person
 

              (2)Not the result of malingering. The person who is malingering is consciously aware of not only there acts but also there motives.

          II. MUNCHAUSEN SYNDROME BY PROXY

         SYMPTOMS

               (1) Caretakers exaggerate &/or fabricate &/or induce physical &/or psychological symptoms &/or illness in others.
(2) a review of 451 cases showed that 6% of victims died,most 4 years of age or under, mothers involved 3 out of 4 cases
