Welcome!

At USM, we are wholly dedicated to creating opportunities that foster learning, achievement, and success. These opportunities may happen in the classroom, on the playing field, or in cyberspace. They may happen in the residence hall, the concert hall, or a laboratory. Wherever these moments of learning, achievement and success present themselves, they are opportunities for USM students.

Our students are critical thinkers, engaged community members, and citizens of the world. How do we know this? We see it every day when they seize the opportunity to articulate a new concept, volunteer at a school, or seek knowledge of another culture. These individual moments, in aggregate, are the “USM Experience.”

Every student can partake in the “USM Experience” and yet it is profoundly different for everyone. As faculty, staff, and administrators, we are proud of what our students make of their education. We’re committed to student opportunities and everything that our students can gain from each moment of learning, achievement, and success.
