SNOW BAN PARKING AND INFORMATION

 

Snow Ban One

When a snow ban one is called all residents, and their guests, should park in lots G-20, G-13, G-14, GS-1, GS-2, G12A

from 11 PM – 7 AM

It is important to note that the snow ban remains in effect even after the lots are plowed.  This means that from

11 PM – 7 AM the plow contractor and facilities management are working to not only plow but sand/salt lots, clear walkways…

 
During regualar business hours, snow ban information should be obtained from the Parking Office (780-4717) or the Snow ban line 228-8765). After hours information is availble from the snow ban line or the USM Police Communications department, (780-5211)

 
If you are going out of town overnight between November 15th and April 15th and you have a current USM resident hang tag, you should park in lot G-13B, between the "Long Term" parking signs. This is the middle lot behind and to the left of Dickey-Wood Hall. Commuter atheletes who should be away for games/training are permitted to utilize these spaces with a temporary tage, which can be picked up at the USM Police dispatch office.
 

When a commuter lot is on the snow ban list as a parking lot to be used, please refrain from moving to the lot until after 9PM, The follwoing morning you must move your car out of the commuter lot no later than 9AM.

Snow Ban Two

 

When a snow ban two is called all residents, and their guests, should park in student spots in the following lots

(G-2, G-4, G-7, G-11, G-12, G-16, G-17)

from 11 PM – 7 AM

It is important to note that the snow ban remains in effect even after the lots are plowed.  This means that from

11 PM – 7 AM the plow contractor and facilities management are working to not only plow but sand/salt lots, clear walkways…

Town of Gorham Parking

There is no overnight parking on Gorham streets November 1 to May 1. Local media will provide further information on any parking bans or other information relating to weather related parking changes in Gorham.
