
The University Police Department maintains many different types of records.
The
department maintains records as required by the Federal government,
State governement and the University as well as the departments. All
incidents which generate a report from a police officer are recorded
here as well.
The
department regularly processes requests for background checks for
employment from various law enforcement related agenceies, files all
teletypes and information entered into various state and federal
computer systems and maintains the warrant , criminal trespass, and
protection order files for the department.
The department processes reports as required by the FBI and the Jeanne Clery Act.
