Birthday Parties at the Planetarium!

BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT THE PLANETARIUM

The planetarium is a perfect place to celebrate a birthday!   Our rates are reasonable; our facility is "spacey"; our staff is beyond friendly; our shows are engaging; and the experience is educational as well as being entertaining.

So, what do you do next?

Well, now that the soundbite is over, we'll next provide you with specific information pertaining to the party.      Since, we LOVE the Question/Answer format, we'll proceed that way.

What time may I have my party?

You may choose any time and date you want, provided it is between 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.    Provided that the slot is not already reserved, you may have whatever date/time slot you prefer.    Same day reservations are possible, but if you want your party on the weekend, we ask for at least 48 hours notice.

What is involved in a party?

You may have any available planetarium show.  We reserve the dome for your group for an hour: enough time for the show and the night sky tour.    AFTER or BEFORE the show, you may reserve our gallery for an hour. (Our gallery consists of three wide corridors arranged in a U-shape.)  You may bring food, pinatas, and other accessories to the party.

[Important note:  University policy prohibits alcohol at any of our functions. We apologize for the inconvenience.]

You may have the gallery for an hour, as well.  (While we prefer that you limit the gallery time to an hour, we can be lenient with this time frame, provided no other party is scheduled immediately after your own.)

What is the cost?

-IF it's a child's party:

If your group has 13 people or fewer, the charge is $65.00
If your group has 14 people or more, the charge is $5.00 per child.

All adults are free, unless, of course, it's an adult party.
