Details:
This certificate program is designed for individuals who have completed a 40 hour mediation training and are interested in adding divorce mediation to their practices or applying for the Domestic Relations roster of the Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Service (CADRES).
Program Requirements:
Required courses: (34 total hours)
Prerequisite: Certificate Program in Mediation or equivalent 40 hours of training.
- Family Law and Divorce Mediation Skills (26 hours)
- Mediation and Domestic Violence (8 hours)
Schedule:
This certificate program is offered during the fall semester only. The fall semester begins in September and runs through December. All fall courses post to our website in June.
Contact Hours/CEUs/CLEs:
34 contact hours/3.4 CEUs/20 CLEs including 3.5 Ethics credits. This course is approved by the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar.
Fee:
Total cost of certificate program is $855. Participants pay per course. This fee includes all class materials.

Instructor:
- June Zellers. J.D., is a retired attorney and former owner of Common Ground Mediation Services in Lewiston. She currently serves on the CADRES Professional Development Team and is the co-author, with Jacqui Clark, of Choice Points: The Guide to Peer Consultation for Mediators. She is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Southern Maine, and also teaches the Kids First Program for divorcing parents in various locations.
