Visit the USM Library early in the semester to have your USM ID card activated for library use and to become familiar with the services. An activated card allows you to checkout books, print, photocopy, access databases, and setup and use interlibrary loan services from both on and off-campus. When prompted for your library barcode, type in the small number beginning with “25022…” on your USM ID. Printing is 4¢/page and photocopying is 7¢/page.
Librarians are available to assist you with your questions (activating your card; navigating the library webpage; finding books or articles; setting up an Interlibrary Loan (ILLIAD) account; starting a research project; etc.). You can visit the library to meet with a librarian (walk-in or by appointment); contact us by phone; or from the Library webpage’s “Ask-A-Librarian” by e-mail or chat.
