A recent addition to the University of Southern Maine, Amertah focuses on professional development events, workshops, & certificate programs, and internal & external community partnerships.

Trained in the field of International Education and Interpersonal & Intercultural Communication, her background is in interdisciplinary programming, andragogy, and program design, delivery, and evaluation.

Amertah co-teaches Innovation Engineering through USM’s Entry Year Experience (EYE) program and has been a guest lecturer for Maine College of Art and for USM’s graduate program in Leadership & Organizational Studies.

Before coming to USM, Amertah worked within the department of Arts, Humanities, and Languages at the University of California San Diego Extension as a program representative for the Digital Arts Center. Her work included program marketing and recruitment, online program management, instructor support services, and the design and implementation of faculty training in online course development and online teaching methodologies.
