Fringe Benefits Rates  
The University negotiates Fringe Benefit Rates annually with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Currently, we have two rates: one for non-faculty temporary employees, and one or all other employees.

Facilities and Administrative Costs (F&A), a.k.a. Indirect Cost Rates
Negotiated on a multi-year basis, the University has three rates. OSP can help you determine the appropriate rate for your project and what your sponsor will allow. For a list of current rates, click here.

Facilities and Administrative Rates Policy
The funding of Facilities and Administrative Costs (F&A), a.k.a. indirect costs, through a project is intended to reimburse the University for costs that the University incurs in support of a project, but which cannot be easily assigned. It is the policy of the University to recover the maximum amount of F&A that is consistent with sponsor guidelines and our Federally negotiated rates.
