New!
Attention

As of March 16, 2009 the Office of Research Compliance, in collaboration with the University of Southern Maine Institutional Review Board, will be making a change in Human Subject Research Protections Training. USM will now be using the CITI training program in place of the NIH training module.

All current NIH training certificates will remain valid until the three-year expiration date. Effective June 1, 2009, the NIH training module is no longer the University of Southern Maine's Human Subject Research Protections Training.

Attention Faculty!
We offer classroom instruction on the IRB process.
Please email usmirb@usm.maine.edu to make arrangements.

All IRB submissions are processed in the order in which they
are received.  Please keep this in mind when you are
planning to submit an application..

** Remember, others may already be ahead of you! **
