The USM Institutional Biosafety (IBC) Committee is a standing
committee that oversees Biosafety at the University of Southern
Maine (USM). The charge of the IBC is to assure the safe
use of recombinant DNA, chemicals and biological agents used
at USM for research, teaching, and testing.
All USM community members with concerns or questions pertaining to
Biosafety at USM may contact the Office of Research Compliance for additional
