BS in Technology Management - Concentration in Precision Manufacturing
Students in the Technology Management degree program will become technically oriented management professionals who plan, direct, organize, and control operations in a wide variety of industrial, business, and service organizations. In that program, students concentrate in one of the areas listed below.
Precision Manufacturing Concentration
This concentration is designed to prepare graduates for career leadership and management positions in a computer-intensive/automated manufacturing environment. Students in this concentration take courses in the area of computer-aided design/manufacturing, computer-numeric-control programming (CNC), industrial robotics, automated material handling, electronic control technology, computer-integrated manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and systems integration.
This concentration is also available to nontraditional and transfer students with enough related technical experience or coursework to satisfy the technical competency requirements of the concentration or to students with an associate's degree in a metal working area. See Requirements, below.
A Minor in Precision Manufacturing is also available.
All students must meet University Core curriculum requirements and additional Departmental requirements. Specific requirements for bachelor of science degree programs offered through the Department of Technology are indicated in the following tables. A minimum of 15 credit hours or 5 courses must be taken in the Department.
Students in the technology management degree program will be required to complete a senior assessment as part of the graduation requirement.
