Michelle Snow
teaches jazz voice and conducts the vocal jazz ensembles at
the University of Southern Maine. She is a jazz vocalist,
pianist and a conductor of a wide variety of choral ensembles. She earned a
Master of Music in jazz pedagogy from Berklee College of Music, a Bachelor
of Music in music education from the University of New Hampshire, and she is
currently completing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in music education at
Boston University.
Michelle has extensive experience as an adjudicator and clinician in vocal
jazz and has guest-conducted several regional festival jazz choirs. From
1996-1998 she served as Assistant Director for the National Academy of
Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) Grammy in the Schools New England
All-Star High School Jazz Choir in Boston. Her public school teaching
experience includes 10 years of teaching music K-12 in Maine and
Massachusetts.
