School of Music resident composer, Dan Sonenberg, to speak in free public lecture
Event Date and Time:
Wed, 10/10/2012 - 10:00am - 11:00am
Location:
Room 112 Corthell Hall, USM Gorham
Come to Room 112 Corthell Hall on Wednesday, October 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. for a free public lecture with our resident composer, Dan Sonenberg.
Due to unforseen circumstances, Sebastian Currier is not able to be with us.
In his place, Dan Sonenberg will present a new demo recording made this summer of a scene from his opera, "The Summer King." The recording features the USM Chamber Singers, several members of the School of Music Faculty, vocal soloists, a mariachi ensemble and mariachi vocal trio in a scene taking place in Vera Cruz, Mexico.
The lecture will include a question and answer period, and is free and open to the public.
