Shared Resources

Facility core facilities provide useful tools to investigators who use similar techniques and equipment to investigate different questions. Core facilities are an essential component of any biomedical research center. MCTEH has established 3 core facilities: Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Computational Analysis (BBCA), Cellular and Molecular Imaging (CMI), and Chemical Exposure and Assessment (CEA). The fourth emerging core facility is Gene Expression.

The Center’s core facilities provide critical and state-of-the-art technology to members of MCTEH to support major opportunities for ground breaking studies. Each core facility is intended to serve the needs of the MCTEH investigators and enhance recruitment of investigators as well as developing new applications for existing technologies that have relevance to current research interests. Each core facility is also expected to identify new technologies for future growth to help ensure the long term success of MCTEH. In addition to fulfilling the needs of MCTEH, it is anticipated that the Core Facilities will provide some level of service for non-members.
