Administration
 

The Center Director is Dr. John Pierce Wise, Sr. who is responsible for the scientific, technical, and administrative direction of the Program. Phone: (207) 228-8049.

The Center has two Associate Directors, Dr. W. Douglas Thompson and Dr. Rebecca Van Beneden.

Dr. Thompson role is to lead the growing and planned development of the epidemiology and biostatistical research of the Center and ensure coordination and communication among the various epidemiology projects. Dr. Thompson directs the Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Computational Analysis Core facility and is responsible for much of the Center-related biostatistical analyses. Phone: (207) 780-4682.

Dr. Van Beneden is a Professor of Biochemistry and Marine Sciences at the University of Maine (UM). Dr. Van Beneden’s major role as Associate Director is to ensure seamless integration of the UM projects into the Center effort and to provide a daily contact point for the UM members. The Center's Administrator is David Kirstein who assists the Center Director in the management of the Center.
