News ReleasesUSM Muskie School Appoints New Chair of Health Policy and Management Graduate ProgramApril 1, 2005 Professor Gino A. Nalli has been named chair of the Health Policy and Management Master's degree program at the USM Muskie School of Public Service. "Professor Nalli brings a unique combination of experiences to this job that will serve to strengthen the program's relationship with stakeholders in the public, private and health provider communities," said Karl Braithwaite, dean of the USM Muskie School. A USM Muskie School staff member since 1998, Professor Nalli teaches graduate courses in health care management and finance. He frequently provides consulting services to Maine state government and private organizations on the organization and financing of health care services. In 2002, Professor Nalli received the USM Faculty Senate award for excellence in teaching and was awarded the Henri Benoit Award for leadership in the private sector by the Portland Regional Chamber. Prior to joining the USM Muskie School, Professor Nalli was a senior
consultant with the Watson Wyatt company, a worldwide actuarial firm.
He also was president of a regional managed care company. Professor Nalli
holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Yale University. |
