News ReleasesEconomic Forecast for Maine, 2005January 10, 2005 Charles Colgan, professor of public policy and management in USM's Muskie School of Public Service, will unveil his 2005 economic forecast for Maine at a breakfast meeting hosted by the USM Corporate Partners, a support group for the University consisting of more than 150 businesses. A former state economist, Colgan serves as a research fellow at the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics and chairs the Maine Consensus Economic Forecasting Commission, which prepares an economic outlook report for state budget preparation. Colgan will share his predictions for 2005, based on his analysis of employment trends, income, retail sales and a range of other indicators. Please feel free to attend.
