Blunt Youth Radio Presents: DINNER IS SERVED!
March 24, 2004
DINNER IS SERVED! is a public supper that Blunt Youth Radio
is organizing as a fundraiser. The dinner will include delicious
appetizers, entrees, and dessert prepared by members of Blunt
and local restaurants.
The event takes places Saturday, April 3, at the USM Campus
Center in Portland, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the
dinner are $5, and they can be bought at the door or in advance
(preferable) by contacting Claire Holman at 767-1785 or by
e-mail cholman@usm.maine.edu.
Blunt Youth Radio project has successfully reached out to
teens from the greater Portland area since 1994, giving them
the opportunity to work in radio and learn about all aspects
of audio journalism. Youths receive training free of charge
as they learn to produce a weekly, public affairs radio show
on WMPG-FM, the community radio station of the University
of Southern Maine.
Everyone is welcome to attend this event; it is a public
dinner so invite your friends along! Proceeds will help fund
the group's trip to the National Federation of Community Broadcasters'
annual conference and Golden Reel Awards ceremony in Albuquerque,
New Mexico. Thank You for your support and we hope to see
you there!
