Search on for Student Commencement Speaker
Each year a graduating senior is chosen by a committee of
faculty, staff and students to be the USM student commencement
speaker. To apply a student should submit a speech which must
be 3 to 5 minutes in length. Selection is based on quality,
content, and the oral presentation of the submitted speech.
Information about the competition can be found in the Office
of Program Development, Room 117, Payson Smith Hall, Portland;
Dean of Student Life Office, Woodbury Campus Center, Portland;
the lower level of Brooks Student Center, Gorham; Gorham Residence
Life, Room 100, Upton Hall, Gorham; Advising Services, Room
125, Upton Hall, Gorham; Enrollment Services, Rooms 119-122,
Payson Smith Hall, Portland; Vice President for Student and
University Life Office, Room 732, Law Building, Portland;
and the Dean's Office, Lewiston/Auburn College.
Submissions should be sent to Cathy Wright, Office of Program
Development, Room 117, Payson Smith Hall, Portland, by Friday,
March 21 at 4 p.m.
