The University of Southern Maine’s Women and Gender Studies Program celebrates the diversity of women working in all fields, and each year takes the opportunity during this annual dinner to honor the program itself and all the students, faculty and community members that have contributed to it since its founding in 1980. Women and Gender Studies courses explore a variety of perspectives focused on diverse human experiences. It’s public programming extends this educational mission into the broader community.
