News ReleasesMaine Authors Thomas Hanna and Trudy Chambers Price to Speak at USM March 1 , 2007 The Voices of Maine Diversity Scholar Series at USM's College of Education and Human Development continues at 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 21 with a free public talk by Thomas Hanna, author of his recently published memoir "Shoutin' Into the Fog: Growing Up on Maine's Ragged Edge." Hanna will be joined by his publisher, Dean Lunt of Islandport Press, and Trudy Chambers Price, author of "The Cows are Out: Two Decades on a Maine Dairy Farm. The event will be held in Room 301, Bailey Hall, on USM's Gorham campus. Hanna, an 80-year-old from Bath, Maine, will talk about his life's experiences, including writing his memoirs. Lunt, a Maine native, will discuss his business philosophy, the cornerstone of which spurred the founding his own publishing company. Price will give recollections of her time spent on a dairy farm in Knox County. Copies of "Shoutin' Into the Fog" and other Islandport Press books will be available for sale at the event.
