“The Company We Keep”
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Alex Haley and others are featured
in the exhibit "The Company We Keep." The African American
Archives of Maine exhibit, "The Company We Keep: Political
and Social Celebrity," featuring photographs from the Gerald
E. Talbot, "Anchor of the Soul," and Harold E. Richardson
collections depicting Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Alex Haley,
Vanessa Williams and Maya Angelou in Maine appearances spanning
a period of almost 40 years; through August 15; second floor
