Internal Communications

If we are to be successful at making external audiences more aware of USM programs and services, then it's critical that those people who work on campus are informed ambassadors for the institution.

To keep the campus community abreast of developments and the work of their colleagues, we:

• Publish Currents, a monthly newsletter.
• Work with the President's office to publish Update a one page sheet that provides brief news items on emerging USM issues.
• Publish Events, a weekly calendar of events open to the community.
• Program and update an events line on the campus phone system. That line can be reached by calling (207) 780-4500.
• Distribute occasional news bulletins on USM news via the campus listserv.
• Contact key departments to keep open a flow of information to our office.
• Keep in touch with other campuses within the UMaine System and with the Chancellor's Office.
