Remaking the World: Women & the Environment
USMs observance of womens history continues with the following
campus events:
- April 1: Maine Jewish Film Festival, three films and panel discussions to
follow, 1-4 p.m., Portland Museum of Art.
- Week of April 9, Vesna Kesic, founder and coordinator of the Center for
Women War Victims, will talk on womens movements in the former Yugoslavia.

- April 10: A Feminine City? Women, Shopping & the 19th-Century
Downtown, lecture by Mona Domosh, Dept. of Geography, Dartmouth, 4:15
p.m., Rooms A,B,C, Woodbury Campus Center, Portland.
- April 13: Tolerance and Diversity Film Festival, 7 p.m., Luther Bonney Auditorium,
Portland.
- April 23: Transgender Masculinity, talk by P.J. Mears, 4:15
p.m., Woodbury Campus Center..
