USM TV has won a national award for its 1999 production, "Granite Guardian," a documentary on Portland's Fort Gorges. The 22-minute video was given an Honorable Mention in the history category of the 1999 Communicator Awards. The awards, open to university and commercial productions, were presented at recent ceremonies in Arlington, Texas.
