Margaret Reimer received her PhD from Purdue University with a focus on Early Modern English, particularly intrigued by the ways in which authors and printers avoided censorship during the reign of Mary I. Her sub-specialties include Middle English literature and poetry. Margaret spent 12 years as a nurse before being seduced by the lure of narrative. She teaches Ancient Literature and History of the English Language for USM's English department and courses in the Honors and Classics departments. She believes mythology contains the fundamental beliefs of humanity and that there are few other classes where one can talk about death, sex, and monsters quite so often!
