Osher Collection

Composition:

The Osher Collection [OS] is a broad, rich collection assembled by Dr. Harold L. and Peggy L. Osher. The collection is not closed and is still growing. It comprises many thousands of sheet maps, atlases, globes, surveying instruments, and books, dating from the 15th through the 20th century. The primary emphasis is on Maine, New England, and North America, but the collection has a substantial number of European maps.

Access:

The collection is currently accessed by a variety of in-house finding aids. The collection is in the process of being cataloged, at the item level, in URSUS, the University of Maine System library catalog.
