USM Theatre Students Stage Equus
USM theatre students stage Equus, the Tony Award-winning play by Peter Shaffer, which kicked off the Theatre Department's 2006-07 season. The play tells the story of a psychiatrist who investigates the blinding of six horses at a stable in Hampshire, England. The brutal act is carried out by 17-year-old Alan Strang. As the psychiatrist exposes the truths behind the boy's demons, he finds himself confronting his own insecurities about religion, sexuality, and his relationship with his wife.
