Wright Express Hosts Golf Tourney to Benefit USM Scholarships

In September 2007, Wright Express hosted its 8th annual golf tournament at the Woodlands Club in Falmouth to raise scholarship support for USM’s School of Business and the Governor’s Computer Science Scholarship in the School of Applied Science, Engineering, and Technology (ASET). This was the first year that the tournament was a “double-flight,” supporting both the School of Business and ASET. Over 40 teams and 48 sponsors participated in the all-day event.

Since 2000, the Wright Express Governor’s Golf Tournament has raised over $200,000 in scholarship support for USM. In 2007 alone, the tournament raised $56,000. These scholarships represent part of Wright Express’s commitment to supporting and encouraging enterprising young people to stay in Maine.
