Fred W. Cannon III can now be reached at 398 Main Street, Bradley, ME 04411. Fred has finished the ETEP program and is doing his internship at Gorham High School. He plans to take a year off to travel this spring, then he’d like to find a teaching job in Maine for the next school year. After graduation, Amanda Lynn Kurkulonis moved from Deerfield, Mass., to Gorham. In the fall of that year, she started working for the Gorham School Department. She has been working with seventh-grade special education students for two years now. She enjoys it very much, and soon plans to start taking graduate classes at USM. Kartika Bower, formerly Meggison, has returned to using her maiden name. She is still serving as the supply sergeant for HSC 133rd ENGR BN in Portland and loving it. “Believe it or not, a social work degree is very helpful!” Joan Smith Provost, of Cushing, and her husband set up a scholarship while she was a student at USM for a woman art major. They spent many years at private schools that educated women. “The salary was not outstanding, but the rewards were great!”
