Annual Fund Sets Record
The 2003-2004 Annual Fund set a record, with a total of $860,000 raised. This annual support allowed the University to provide scholarships, faculty development funds, and support for a variety of programs across every school and college at USM.
Faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences, for example, benefited from Annual Fund support. A new series of lectures, highlighting faculty research, was instituted. Five faculty members who have been awarded distinguished national fellowships from the Fulbright Foundation, the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the National Science Foundation, are making presentations throughout this academic year.
