Online reference resources from numerous publishers. This reference resource can be searched by individual title, broad subject headings, cross-references, audio and images. Use its research mapper to search for terms and topics that are interconnected and displayed in (a) visual form. Examples of titles are: Bloomsbury Guide to Art, Bridgeman Art Library Archive, Columbia Encyclopedia, Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary, Harvard Dictionary of Music, and the Concise Corsini Encyclopedia of Psychology and Behavioral Science. A searchable database of U.S. Department of Agriculture funded research. Covers on-going and recently completed research projects in agriculture, food and nutrition, and forestry. Database records include listings of publications resulting from the funded research.

Contains critical and biographical essays on authors currently living or who died after 1959. Initial release features 50 authors derived from CLC print volumes 95-99 and 50 retrospective entries. Updates of 10-12 new authors will be added about 6 times a year as print volumes are published and 10-20 retrospective entries will be added each time. CLC Select may be searched separately or simultaneously with Contemporary Authors and the Dictionary of Literary Biography

The online version of the Dictionary of Newfoundland English is provided as part of the Newfoundland and Labrador Heritage Web Site Project. The print version of the dictionary was published by the University of Toronto Press. The online version contains a preface, introduction, bibliography, works cited section, abbreviations, a supplement, and an index.

ProQuest's UMI Dissertation Publishing group publishes more than 65,000 new dissertations and theses each year, with weekly updates to the PQDT database. Over 930,000 dissertations and theses are available in PDF format, and most include free twenty-four page previews.

The Continental Congress Broadside Collection (256 titles) and the Constitutional Convention Broadside Collection (21 titles) contain 277 documents relating to the work of Congress and the drafting and ratification of the Constitution. Items include extracts of the journals of Congress, resolutions, proclamations, committee reports, treaties, and early printed versions of the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

The ebrary Academic Complete ebooks collection includes over 50,000 titles spanning all academic subject areas. The ebooks are from more than 400 major academic, professional, and STM (scientific, technical, medical) publishers. Ebooks may be accessed online through any web enabled device, and pages or sections may be printed. Ebooks may not be downloaded as a separate file due to licensing restrictions. Users may create an account to store books on a personal bookshelf, and use the ebrary Reader to highlight text and take notes. Note: All titles in Academic Complete are available to all University of Maine System users. Individual UMS libraries have also purchased some ebrary ebooks that are restricted to a single user at a time, due to digital rights management licensing.

The EBSCO Ebook Collection includes 7,885 e-books (4,480 titles purchased from Netlibrary and 3,405 Project Gutenberg titles). The collection is accessible to all Maine citizens. Some URSUS libraries have also purchased additional titles that may be available within the EBSCO Ebook Collection. Records for these titles have been added to URSUS
