Lowell’s passion is working with both university students and public and private business employees to polish existing communication skills and/or develop additional ones which will increase scholarly/work productivity and personal satisfaction. Areas of expertise include conflict resolution, leadership, team building, active listening, dealing with difficult people, and group communication. In additional to teaching at USM, Lowell works as a corporate communication consultant for such companies as The Ritz Carlton Hotel Group, The Boeing Company, Experian, and United Airlines. Lowell also speaks to business groups and organizations at conferences and conventions. Recent speeches have included Effective Leadership, Enhancing Creativity and Critical Thinking, Superior Customer Service, The Positive Effects of Assertiveness, and the Impact of Our Communication Upon Our Children.
