Janet Etzel

Janet is the Student Success Advisor dedicated to Leadership Studies students.  She holds a B.S. in Community Health Education and an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling. She is a licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maine, a National Certified Counselor (NCC) a National Certified Career Counselor (NCCC), a Master Career Counselor (MCC), and a Certified Corporate Coach. After working for the MES Foundation providing career and educational counseling and co-founding a small Maine company that provided individual and corporate coaching and career counseling services, she joined the staff of the newly formed Early Student Success Office at USM, and in 2009 she became a Student Success Advisor at the LAC campus. She teaches career related classes and is a Co-Advisor for the Golden Key Honour Society. In her spare time she enjoys reading non-fiction, true crime books, and cats.
