PEER TUTORS
The Writing Center is pleased to announce the launch of our Peer Writing Tutor program. Ten students are now enrolled in the new Writing Center Pedagogy and Practice (HUM 499) class, and they will begin their peer tutor training on Wednesday afternoons in the Writing Center in November. Please drop by to meet them and take advantage of their experience and advice.
ELL/ESL STUDENTS
Are you an English language learner? Do you have special writing support needs? Paul Manoff is currently organizing an ELL/ESL support group and would welcome your ideas for workshops and classes that will help you successfully navigate USM LAC’s writing intensive curriculum. Users Beware! When we revised the writing center website this year, quite a bit of our formatting was lost in translation. Please be patient with any oddities you find until we have a chance to correct them. Of particular importance: refer to your Bedford Handbook or APA and MLA manuals when setting up your reference pages. We've lost some spacing and indents!
