Angela BurkeMath Tutor: Angela Burke

Hello!  My name is Angela.  I am a senior at USM majoring in Accounting with hopes to complete a double major in Sports Management.  I like business mechanics and numbers however my passions lie in philosophy and education, go figure ;)  I enjoy working with and meeting new people, spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities, good food, and between all the action, just relaxing and being lazy!  I am greatly looking forward to working with other students in the subjects of math and statistics so together we can achieve a more clear academic understanding of the material and am equally excited to learn new things from you!

I am available for one-on-one sessions and also group sessions for students who wish to come in together to discuss the same or similarly related material.

Tutoring will take place in the Learning Works Center, Room 185. Sessions will be in half hour blocks. 30 minute sessions are ideal for one particular problem or question and necessary clarification. You may sign up for two consecutive blocks to discuss multiple questions and concerns or if you simply wish to spend more time on a problem.

The last five minutes of each half hour block will be reserved for wrapping up and taking a break!

Please make sure to bring with you:

  • Textbook and other materials you use in class (ie, calculator, paper, writing utensil)
  • Course syllabus if available
  • Homework, Quizzes, Exams and Handouts for which you may wish to have clarification

Please feel free to email with any questions! angela.burke@maine.edu
