USM/L-A College Students Receive Awards

These USM/L-A College students were presented
with awards recently at the College's annual recognition ceremony.
In front, left to right are Melissa Cyr, Katie Bryant, and
Naomi St. Hilaire of Auburn, Diane Harding of Lewiston, and
Cynthia Allen of Minot. In back are Becky Lebrun of Lewiston,

A number of USM/Lewiston-Auburn College students were honored
recently at the College's annual recognition ceremony. The
Service Learning Awards were presented to Susan Beane, Todd
Bonn, Becky Lebrun, and Naomi St. Hilaire in recognition of
the work they have done in the community. These awards were
also presented to students in the spring semester Applied
Social Policy class. Sandra Rivard was honored with the Literary
Achievement and Service Award for her contributions to the
student literary magazine. Special "Single Parent Awards"
were given to Penny Demers and Diane Harding. Ismail Ahmed
was presented the USM Outstanding Contribution to Campus Diversity
Award, and the following LAC students were inducted into the
academic honor society of Phi Kappa Phi: Graduating seniors
Susan Beane, Kelsie Fahey, Jinaya O'Neal, Naomi St. Hilaire,
Kate Dumais, Melissa Reuter, and Diane Palmer. Junior Penny
Sargent was also inducted.
