Online
Registration for fall 2008 will occur in a new student data base (MaineStreet). Students will be allowed to start registering at 8:00 am on a day determined by the number of earned credit hours. (see schedule).

Before you are able to register, most students will need to obtain a PIN # from your advisor or academic department.

Late February you will begin receiving a series of emails from “MaineStreet updates” outlining the procedures needed to register using this new system.
In Person
Registration and payment may be made at the USM LAC Business Office or Student Billing Offices located in Portland (Payson Smith Hall) and Gorham (Corthell Hall). Students need to pay by cash, checks, MasterCard, VISA, Discover credit and debit cards. Checks should be made payable to the University of Southern Maine. Business Office Hours: Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You may also register with the USM LAC Business Office by calling 753-6630 during the hours listed above. Please be prepared to provide the course number(s) CRN, and course title(s). Students need to pay by credit card at the time of registration for their registration to be valid. USM takes MasterCard, VISA, Discover credit and debit cards.
USM Lewiston-Auburn College - Tuition & Fees*
Fall 2008 Tuition Rates and Fees HAVE NOT yet been established by the Board of Trustees. Please check back by the end of June for current tuition and fee amounts.

Maine Resident Tuition Undergraduate $198.00 per credit hour
Graduate $297.00 per credit hour
Other Fees
Studetn Activity Fee $1.50 per credit hour
Unified Fee $ 17.00 per credit hour
Parking Fee $ 3.00 per credit hour
Late Payment Fee $ 50.00

NOTE: Unless other arrangements have been made, tuition and University charges are due at the time of registration. A $50.00 late fee will be assessed if payment is not received at that time.
Payment Plan
A payment plan is available. Please contact the LAC Business Office at 753-6630 or visit the Student Billing website at usm.maine.edu/buso/payplan.htm
Third Party Payments
The University will bill an employer that guarantees payment of a student’s charges. The employer must provide written payment authorization prior to registration. The student is responsible for all costs if the employer does not make payment.
Financial Aid
Student receiving financial aid must notify Suzanne Frigon at 207-753-6597 or Financial Aid office at 207-780-5250 of their plans to register on or before the time of registration.
