Rose Cleary, Assistant Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences
University of Dallas, Ph.D.
Cleary earned her B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy from Loyola University in Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Psychology with a minor in Literature from The University of Dallas. Her interdisciplinary background and interests inform her approach to teaching each of her courses.
Research Interests
Professor Cleary's teaching and research interests span the gap between the clinical application and theoretical critique of psychological theories. She teaches several of the courses in the counseling concentration of the social and behavioral sciences program, including: Theories of Personality, Counseling and Psychotherapy, and the Psychology of Dreams. She has particular interest in understanding psychological experiences and understandings from within particular historical and cultural contexts.
