Undeclared and Other Majors

Undeclared Majors
Students who are undecided about a major may begin their studies as undeclared majors. This enables them to explore different options while completing many required core courses. Undeclared students may take all their classes and be assigned an advisor at LAC.

Other USM Majors
Students enrolled in USM majors not offered in full at the Lewiston-Auburn campus may also take some courses here. Some students choose to begin their studies here before moving on to the Portland and Gorham campuses. Residents of the Lewiston-Auburn area may take core courses and electives at LAC to minimize travel to the other campuses. Our academic advisors can explain these and other options available.
