The degrees at USM's Lewiston-Auburn College
are all offered in their entirety at the Lewiston-Auburn campus. As with
all USM bachelors degree programs, students must complete
the Core curriculum, as well as specific courses for the major.
The Core curriculum provides students with the opportunity
to fine tune critical thinking, writing, and mathematics skills
and explore new and exciting liberal arts courses. Beyond
the Core, students take specific courses in their major and
elective courses to complete the minimum of 120 credit hours
for graduation. The faculty at USM's Lewiston-Auburn
College believe that learning is a shared experience between
students and faculty. USM LAC offers interdisciplinary
learning focusing on communication, team work, service learning,
student participation, and leadership. Opportunities
are available for internships, service learning, independent
studies, and credit for prior learning. The interdisciplinary
focus of the majors and the blending of theory and practice
provide flexibility that students will need to respond to
life experiences.
