Parking

A parking fee (per credit) is assessed for all students enrolled in classes on the Lewiston-Auburn campus of USM.  Faculty and staff are also required to pay for parking. Please note the following important information:

• No parking permits or decals are required for students taking all their courses at USM LAC
• ALL students registered for courses are assessed the parking fee. Consistent with the policy on our Portland and Gorham campuses, the fee is not waived for students who do not own a vehicle or do not drive to campus
• Students taking courses in Portland/Gorham (regardless of how many courses they are taking at USM LAC) are still required to have the USM parking permit to use the student parking facilities on those campuses
• USM assumes no responsibility for damage to, or theft of or from, any vehicle parked in any University parking area or elsewhere on University property.  Vehicles parked illegally in handicap spaces are subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
