SOTA
Student Occupational Therapy Association
Lewiston/Auburn College

Board Structure

All members of the board are responsible for facilitating positive activities and participation in the association.  In addition, the entire board actively interfaces with the faculty advisor, on a regular basis.

President Directs and heads the Executive Board and student body meetings, collaborates with other board members to set agendas and generate preliminary ideas for activities.
Vice-President Works closely with the president in all of the above capacities and heads meetings if the president is unavailable.
Treasurer Maintains financial records, collects and deposits SOTA funds, and reports financial status at Executive Board and student body meetings.  These duties are all carried out in a timely fashion.
Secretary Records and organizes minutes at Executive Board and student body meetings, distributes agendas and meeting minutes to the board and student body, alerts members to upcoming meetings, and handles all written correspondence of SOTA.
Public Relations Officer Promotes occupational therapy and SOTA activities on campus and throughout the community.
Historian Maintains a scrapbook of photographs taken (by the historian and others) at SOTA events.
Representative to the MOT Advisory Board This position is not necessarily for members of SOTA.  Any student interested in representing their class on the advisory board is welcome to apply.  Representatives bring forth ideas, concerns, and questions to the board.  This is also a great opportunity for students to make connections with practicing occupational therapists.

DUES:
Dues are collected each semester and an amount will be voted on at the first SOTA meeting of the year.
