Registration is open for a number of Summer Session courses
that begin in July at the University of Southern Maine's Lewiston-Auburn
campus. Most classes begin the first week of July and meet
twice weekly through August 19. A few other courses are offered
on a one or three week schedule.
Openings remain in the following courses that will begin
the first week in July: College Writing, Intro to Literature,
Creative Writing, Fiction Writing, Critical Thinking, Anthropology,
Art History, Public Speaking, General Psychology II, and Microcomputer
Applications.
A number of graduate courses for teachers will be offered
through USM's College of Education and Human Development and
the Professional Development Center. These classes, delivered
in one-week sessions meeting in July or August, will include
the following: Linguistics & Cultural Diversity, ESL:
Language Testing & Assessment, Making Classroom Assessment
Work, and Creative and Critical Thinking.
