First Year CLASS Students

Pictured here at Sherwood Heights Elementary School in Auburn are the first year students in the CLASS/PDS teacher education program at Lewiston-Auburn College. The CLASS/PDS (Professional Development School) program prepares undergraduate students to become elementary and secondary school teachers. It combines coursework leading to a liberal arts bachelor’s degree with a professional program of teacher preparation that results in K-8 certification. Students take a combination of courses on campus along with seminars and field-related activities at local partner schools such as Sherwood Heights.
