Berube Named Chair

Georgette Berube of Lewiston has been elected chair of the
Advisory Board for the Franco-American Heritage Collection
at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College. Berube, a former State
Representative and State Senator, also hosted her own French
radio program for many years. In addition to her duties as
chair, Mrs. Berube also serves the Collection as a volunteer.
The Franco-American Heritage Collection, formerly known as
the Centre d’Heritage Franco-Americain, contains extensive
archival material on politics, religion, education, sports,
industry, theater and music, genealogy, and Lewiston-Auburn
history. It is open to the public Mondays and Wednesdays,
8:30 - 5:00, and Thursdays, 8:00 - noon.
