older family member?

up prescriptions?
Help manage an adult family member’s money?
Help clean or make
household repairs?
Organize home health care for an older
family member, or help with personal care?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you are
a family caregiver. A caregiver is anyone who provides unpaid
assistance to an adult family member or friend who is frail,
ill, disabled or just needs some help. Many family members
and friends helping older adults are employed and trying
to balance work, family commitments, and care giving.
Partnership for Healthy Aging, in collaboration with over
ten organizations with expertise in aging, has worked with
family caregivers to develop programs to support them in
their efforts. The Healthy USM LAC Wellness Committee is
pleased to sponsor the following Lunch and Learn presentation

Communicating Effectively with Healthcare Professionals
This presentation focuses on the importance of the health
care team for persons with disabilities-whether that person
is a special needs child, a spouse with a serious illness,
or a frail older relative. March 8th, 11:45am-12:45pm,
