USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College has added a course for
aspiring school administrators to its fall schedule. EDU 670
Introduction to Administration, is the required first course
for all degree candidates in the master’s program in
educational leadership and administration. This course introduces
theories of administration and provides each student with
diagnostic data to conduct a needs assessment as the basis
for planning a personalized program of study.
The course is offered through USM’s College of Education
and Human Development (COEHD). The instructor will be Ken
Nye, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Coordinator, Educational
Leadership for COEHD. The class will meet Mondays, 4:00 –
6:30 p.m., starting September 8. Registration is open through
the first week of classes.
Other graduate-level education courses being offered this
fall at LAC include Electronic Literacy, Teaching Reading,
Research Methods and Techniques, Teacher Research in Literacy,
and Teaching Exceptional Children. A complete fall semester
