Occupational Therapy students at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College will be hosting a Holistic Health Fair on Wednesday, March 21 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn campus, 51 Westminster Street, Lewiston. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Highlights of the fair will include stress relief, self-care tips, and therapy aids for a holistic lifestyle. Attendees will be able to experience the benefits of various therapies such as Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Sound Therapy, Magnetic Field Therapy, Flower Essence Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Massage Therapy, Herbal Therapy, Yoga, Meditation, Acupuncture and Chiropractic care. There will also be the opportunity to become familiar with alternative health practices at one-hour workshops featuring: “Using your mind to heal your body”, Rhythmic Dance Therapy, Reiki, and Shamanic Practice.
Exhibitors will be holding drawings for free gifts every hour throughout the day, including gifts for memberships at the Health Club and Spa, therapy services from various modalities, books and information, and an hour of hypnotherapy.
The Master of Occupational Therapy program at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College, which is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy (ACOTE), provides exceptional instruction resulting in graduates who are well prepared to pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Exam (NBCOT). 93% of the graduates of this program (over the last five years) have passed the National Certification Exam on their first attempt, compared to a national average of 84%. The program is an entry-level graduate program that can be completed in two years on a full-time basis. Part time options are also available. USM’s Lewiston-Auburn campus is located at 51 Westminster St., Lewiston. Because of construction parking on campus is limited.
